The Director of Operations for the 2023 PanAmerican Games, Gustavo San Martin Castillo, and Special Agent, Heath Ward, will lead a discussion on the security situation around planning for the upcoming games. Special Agent Heath Ward is a member of the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Major Events Coordination Unit. He is assigned to U.S. Embassy Santiago as the Security Coordinator for the 2023 Pan American and Parapan Games. Heath’s previous overseas assignments include: Skopje, Jeddah, London, Baghdad, and Sarajevo. We look forward to learning from Heath’s experiences planning for the PanAmerican Games.
