Various locations in Luxembourg city, including in front of the U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.
Events:
A protest in front of the U.S. Embassy is expected to take place this Saturday, April 20 at 2:30 p.m. The sit-in related to the Israel-Hamas conflict is expected to end no later than 4:00 p.m. U.S. citizens are advised to avoid the area and exercise caution in the vicinity. Local police will be present to monitor the demonstration. Historically in Luxembourg, gatherings of this type have been peaceful and orderly; however, demonstrations can quickly become unpredictable.
Similar protests may continue on a regular basis. Please continue to exercise caution and avoid the area of any demonstrations.
Also this weekend, from Saturday, April 20 to Sunday, April 21, a large walking and running event called the DKV Urban Trail will take place in Luxembourg City. Streets may be closed off in the Grund, around Cité Judiciare, and in other locations in/around the city center.
